I managed to get this game running with no problems whatsoever. Just install click on the iso to mount it. No third party applications needed.

Hit Setup go through the installation. Go into the deviance folder in the ISO. Copy the sh3. Eject the ISO. Then go onto pc gaming wiki on Silent Hill 3 and install the patch by Steam I highly reccomend you use the new save system since it stops any save corruption bugs. Bubu 1 point. I turned mine off and it downloaded just fine. Incredible game, not only in the Silent Hill saga, but in psychological horror gaming as a whole. The game excells at what Silent Hill 2 did well in terms of the more terrifying elements and then some, and you really relate to the main protagonist's disposition in the games depressing and awful world.

Such a shame this game hasn't also been given the Enhanced Edition fan treatment like it's predecessor has, but it still runs pretty well on Windows 10 with a widescreen fix. Can't praise this game enough. Extract the files to where you have Silent Hill 3 installed. The password is pcgw. Your antivirus may detect it as a virus but this is a false positive. Just add the Silent Hill 3 folder as an antivirus exception.
